Who can provide these?

Back To Home

Now you know a little about how clear aligners can be used to move your teeth.  But who is qualified to provide these?

Remember, clear aligners (such as Invisalign) are the tools to move your teeth. The treatment plan is not provided by the company that fabricates the appliance.

Your treatment plan needs to be determined prior to fabricating your aligners.

Orthodontists are dentists that have gone to school for an additional 3 years to learn the proper diagnosis and treatment of problems related to the alignment of your teeth and your bite.

Following our training, we are required to write and pass Board exams to ensure that we are certified to provide orthodontic treatment.  You can ask your provider if he/she is a Board Ceritfied Orthodontist.

Orthodontists and dentists can also get additional training through continuing education courses.  These are typically provided on week-ends and consist of several different sessions.

After the completion of a continuing education course in Invisalign, your dentist and orthodontist will learn about the appliance.  They will not learn about how to treatment plan your case.

Talk to your dentist or orthodontist to see if Invisalign is right for you.
